Well, somehow Dane and I managed to go to work today (Th, 1/22) and finally (at 7PM) have a few moments for quick reflections, although we will need several days to process everything that happened on our trip.
To answer a few quick questions:
1. Yes, we were admitted to the inauguration and saw it all!
2. Yes, we did attend the Illinois Ball. We didn't see Obama, but the ball was one of the most decadent and pleasurable events I have ever attended.
3. Traveling to and from the inauguration was a HUGE test in physical and emotional endurance - definitely not for the weak or faint of heart!!!
4. We stayed in a cabin in Virginia that was nothing short of beautiful. We had a full kitchen, bath, 2 bedrooms, large screen tv, fireplace, a record player (yes, you read that right) and an outdoor hot tub on our private deck.
5. We took MANY pictures and short videos and will be posting them over the next few days.

YAY! I was wondering if you made it into the the seating area, it seemed so many gave up or couldn't get in! glad you are back and super glad you enjoyed your journey!! Looking forward to more posts!
