Pedestrians on Interstate
The picture I wish I had taken (pedestrians walking on the Interstate during Inauguration Day, taken by a fellow blogger).
Lillian Ruiz, Professor of English, began teaching at GCC in 1993, during which time she served as chair of the English Department from 1999 - 2005, and co-chair from 2008-2010. In addition, she is the founder of and advisor for the Liberal Arts English degree program, as well as the Inclusion and Diversity Center. She holds a B.A. in English with a minor in psychology from the University of Rochester, where she graduated magna cum laude; an M.A. in English from UCLA; and completed 30 graduate units in education from UCLA. Her areas of academic interest are composition and literature, most particularly, Gothic literature and Shakespearean drama. She also teaches public speaking and communications courses. In her spare time she enjoys watching horror films, and is an avid dog lover. Originally from New York City, she now resides in Greenfield, MA, with her husband Dane and their pug Biscotti Cappuccino.
